Version 8 of GroupWise WebAccess has been released.
The main improvements include:
- display of all messages rather than only 20 items at a time
- auto save every 10-60 seconds
- new spell checker highlights all the misspelled words in your subject or message fields
- name completion
- better calendar interface
- display shared calendars in your main calendar view
Important Notes
As a security feature, Webmail will time-out after a 15 minute period of inactivity.
Activity is measured in clicks to different pages inside webmail. So even if you are reading or typing a long email message, because you have not navigated to a new page, the system considers your status as inactive.
If you see a log-in dialog box as you attempt to send a message follow these steps: CLICK "CANCEL". This will initiate a new window that displays the text of your message and instructs you to copy the text for future use or it will be lost. Select all the text in the message and copy it (Control + C). Log in and begin a new message and paste the text into the new message (Control + V).
Additionally, lengthy new messages can be saved to your Work in Progress folder at short intervals to avoid loss if you exceed the 20 minute security setting.
